Hours After “Who Is Shah Rukh Khan” Comment, Assam’s Himanta Sarma Will get A Cellphone Name

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma as we speak stated he has spoken to megastar Shah Rukh Khan and warranted him over the protests towards his upcoming movie ‘Pathaan’. Mr Sarma stated Mr Khan dialled him early this morning over “an incident” that occurred at a theatre within the state.

“Bollywood actor Shri @iamsrk referred to as me and we talked as we speak morning at 2 am. He expressed concern about an incident in Guwahati throughout screening of his movie. I assured him that it is obligation of state govt to keep up legislation & order. We’ll enquire and guarantee no such untoward incidents,” the Chief Minister stated in a tweet.

His tweet comes a day after he had retorted curtly, asking who Mr Khan is, when requested by reporters over violent protests by right-wing activists towards the film. “Who’s Shah Rukh Khan? I do not know something about him or the movie ‘Pathaan’,” Mr Sarma had stated in Guwahati yesterday.

On being informed Mr Khan is a Bollywood famous person, he had stated individuals within the state must be involved about Assamese movies, and never Bollywood. Mr Sarma had additionally stated he did not obtain any name from Mr Khan and that he would look into the matter if the actor urges him. He additionally assured motion if any protester violated the legislation.

His remarks have been in response to questions over some activists tearing the film’s posters at a Guwahati theatre that’s set to display the film. 

The proprietor of the cinema corridor stated he additionally obtained a name from Mr Khan.

“Shah Rukh Khan referred to as me within the morning. He requested me in particulars what occurred on the theatre. He appeared very involved,” stated Rajeev Bora, CEO of Gold Cinema.
